Animal lovers can win a date with one of HAP Stanton/Christiana’s longest canine residents to highlight special volunteer programs and adoption services
WILMINGTON, DE, February 1, 2023 – Humane Animal Partners (HAP), a statewide animal welfare organization with locations in Wilmington, Stanton/Christiana, and Rehoboth Beach, is throwing a romantic spin on their “Doggy Day Out” volunteer program this February to better support HAP’s longest canine residents.
Doggy Day Out is a short-term foster program at the HAP Stanton/Christiana location where community members take a shelter dog for an adventure offsite to give them a temporary break from shelter life and work on their socialization skills.
To help celebrate Valentine’s Day and highlight longtime adoptables, HAP will host a “Doggy Date Out’’ virtual auction at www.32auctions.com/doggydateout2023. Animal lovers can bid on dates with dogs, with all proceeds supporting HAP’s lifesaving work. The auction will begin on Friday, February 3 at 5 PM and close on Monday, February 6 at 12 noon.
Winners of the auction will get to spend a fun-filled “Doggy Date Out” with a dog. HAP will provide winners with a gift bag with items that will help them make the most of their special day, such as dog toys, “puppuccino” and coffee gift certificates, and other HAP branded products, in addition to leashes/harnesses, waste bags, water, and dog treats.
