Homestead Campground campers benefit local animals in Sussex County
GEORGETOWN, DE, July 11, 2023 –Humane Animal Partners (formerly Delaware Humane Association and Delaware SPCA) received a donation in the amount of $732 along with dozens of essential wishlist items to support shelter animals from Homestead Campground after their annual Dog Days of Summer Fundraiser. The generous donation will directly support HAP animal adoption, in-shelter animal care, and low-cost pet retention services.
Homestead Campground’s annual Dog Days of Summer fundraiser assists local animals in need by helping them find loving animals to adopt. Campers and families at Homestead Campground participated in a donation drive, 50/50 raffle, bake sale, and corn hole tournament to raise donations for HAP.
Humane Animal Partners (HAP) is a statewide animal welfare organization with adoption centers in Rehoboth Beach, Wilmington, and Stanton/Christiana. In addition to pet adoption they also provide a myriad of pet retention programs and services including low-cost vaccination clinics, spay/neuter, wellness exams, free pet food pantries, and more.
All Humane Animal Partners (HAP) animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, heartworm (dogs) or FeLV/FIV (cats) tested, microchipped, and examined by a veterinarian.
