If you’re a sucker for a good candy cane! Join us for Christmas in July with Bad Santa & His Naughty Elves, Thursday, July 25th from 4pm to 7pm at Aqua in downtown Rehoboth. It will be a Christmas in July to remember. Bring a donation for the Humane Animal Partners. Donation Drive hosted by the Rehoboth Beach Bears.

SNOW DAY BREAK AWAY❄️🐶☃️ This #HAPFosterFriday we are happy to share some of pups that weathered recent storms in a home!

Over the last 2 weeks, we’ve had multiple snowy days. To make sure all our pups receive the attention and care they deserve, we sent some of our ✨summertime lovers✨ into temporary fosters for the storm! They cuddled, played, and had a relaxing, stress-free break away from the shelter!

TAKE COOPER HOME🐶💙 This #HAPWoofWednesday we are highlighting our snuggly senior, Cooper!

Cooper is a 10-year-old big bully mix who loves everyone and everything! Sadly, Cooper was tied to our gate overnight and abandoned, so we don’t know much about his past. Despite this, he is very trusting, tolerant, and affectionate with all people! Cooper already knows basic commands, appears house-trained, and walks well on a leash. He has beautiful manners and a wonderful temperament, allowing us to do anything and everything to him. Recently, he’s been spending his days in our reception area, where he helps greet visitors. He enjoys hanging with our staff and will easily curl up on a bed beside them, making him the perfect companion for anyone who works from home! Cooper has met other dogs at the shelter, he can come on a little too excited like a young pup, so another dog that’s okay with his social personality would be best. His favorite activities include afternoon strolls, snacking on yummy treats, chasing tennis balls, and long, long naps. If you want to have a lovable pup to come home to, Cooper is your guy!

FREE FELONEIGH❤️🐾 No crime, but she’s doing the time!

Despite her incriminating name, this girl is a total sweetheart! Feloneigh is a a 2-year-old husky mix with lots of love to give. She was rescued from a hoarding case in Louisiana. She quickly rose to fame among our staff and volunteers for her affectionate personality and gentle demeanor. Feloneigh enjoys hanging with people, cuddling, and afternoon strolls. She has made some doggy friends, though she can get retreat if pups come on too strong, so a dog that like to sniff and say hello properly before playtime is best! She already knows basic commands and walks beautifully on a leash, making her a wonderful companion to adventure with! Feloneigh has participated in our Doggy Day Out program too, here’s what one volunteer had to say about her:

“What a DREAM of a dog. She is extremely gentle and loves to give kisses. She is very calm in the car. We took a 3 mile walk around Rockford Park - she did great on the leash with no pulling. She loves making eye contact with the person walking her. During walks she will sometimes pause to gently put her paws up on you, and if you sit down with her she just wants give kisses. After our walk we spent some time in my apartment for cuddles and snacks, she was super calm and well behaved. Feloneigh is such a loving, sweet girl and just needs someone who can help her gain a little confidence! She seems like she would do well with a family looking for a dog who can handle both high- and low-activity days!” - Julia
