If you’re a sucker for a good candy cane! Join us for Christmas in July with Bad Santa & His Naughty Elves, Thursday, July 25th from 4pm to 7pm at Aqua in downtown Rehoboth. It will be a Christmas in July to remember. Bring a donation for the Humane Animal Partners. Donation Drive hosted by the Rehoboth Beach Bears.

SUGAR, YES PLEASE 🐱💜🧁 This #HAPMeowyMonday we are introducing our longest senior resident, Sugar!

Looking for a snuggly senior? Then come meet Sugar! She is a 13-year-old gorgeous torti lady. Sugar came to HAP from a high-intake shelter in New Jersey when they no longer had space for her. While many seniors may be depressed or confused in the shelter, Sugar is just happy we have treats for her! She is a very laid-back lady, enjoying long naps, making biscuits, and sunbathing. While she has her playful moments, she would much rather be loved on and pet. Sugar is very affectionate with people, especially if you hand her a treat or two! She’s not super interested in other cats, though she would do okay with another calm, quiet kitty!

HAP HERO AARAV👏⛰️🐾
In August, 11-year-old Aarav fearlessly climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s tallest mountain at 5,895 meters/19,341 feet, to raise funds for the animals at Humane Animal Partners!

After returning from his journey, he stopped by HAP Wilmington to hangout with our adoptable pups and see all of the animals he has helped! We are so excited to share that Aarav’s climb raised $3,081 to provide crucial shelter, medical care, and love to animals in need! THANK YOU AARAV🩷

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HAZEL🎉🩷🥹 Today, our staff and volunteers celebrated our longest resident cat, Hazel!

While we have many animals that may experience a birthday at HAP, Hazel is very different, as this is her second birthday with us. Hazel has spent 732 days in our care at HAP Stanton/Christiana longing to find her forever home.

Hazel has struggled with severe allergies since she first arrived to us back in 2022. To manage her irritation, she has a special diet paired with medication and a cone, to protect her from scratching. We are excited to share that Hazel is currently awaiting test results to determine her exact allergies and best course of treatment long-term! This testing is a costly and lengthy treatment process, that was generously donated by a long-time friend of HAP and lover of Hazel, in effort to provide answers for future owners and find Hazel a loving home.

As we wish Hazel a Happy Birthday, we would also like to thank our incredible cattery team at HAP Stanton/Christiana. Over these last 2 years, they have poured their heart and soul into Hazel. Even when she’s not feeling well and swings a mitten or two, they have always reassured her that they love her and everything will be okay. Thank you for providing Hazel with the best care possible and a birthday we are sure she will remember!

CALLING SUSSEX CAT LOVERS🐱🏠 Our feral cat houses are on their way to HAP Rehoboth Beach! We would like to thank our partners, @ffas_delaware , for helping us ensure the cats in our community are safe and warm this winter!

Houses will be available for pick-up at HAP Rehoboth Beach on Wednesday, November 13 at 10AM. Due to a limited supply, there will be a limit of 2 houses per person. First come, first served.
